Alternatively called, by ancient philosophers, “cosmocratores,” Archontes were the types or paradigms which exist on the higher Planes of Nature and give rise to forms on the lower Planes, such as ELEMENTALS or NATURE-SPIRITS. Although Archontes have been equated with Archangels, some hold that they are of the lowest order charged with overseeing the material world.
